If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue with a little something extra, you can’t go wrong choosing Sneezewoods as your venue. The setting is fresh, tranquil, fun and absolutely stunning! So much pride and attention to detail is taken when Margaret accepts the challenge of planning your wedding. Margaret and her team really do go out of their way to make sure that everything, down to the smallest detail is taken care of. Everything is done with such care and there is such a sense of family that really makes you feel relaxed and at ease. I found this to mean so much to us in the run up to the wedding.
A fantastic brunch menu was adapted and prepared for us to fit in with our picnic theme. What a spread there was! The homemade jams, pastries and lemonade added such a beautiful farm style touch. All of our guests commented on the catering and I can still feel my taste buds explode with flavor when I think of the breakfast quiche! When people tell you that the day goes by so quickly and to take everything in, they are not kidding! The quiche is one of the clearest memories I have! With all the excitement of the big day, I didn’t really get to eat, so Margaret put some food aside for me to come and get later when I got hungry. It is this type of personal touch that makes all the difference.
Margaret was beautifully dressed for the occasion and was always close by, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. The time taken and effort made in the planning of our wedding, from the décor to the friendly and helpful staff, will never be forgotten. The day ended off with us relaxing in a honeymoon hut decorated with rose petals and champagne on ice. What a magnificent way to finish off a perfect day.
Thank you so much to Margaret, Shereen and the entire team that worked so hard to make our day as memorable as it was. We will never forget the kind faces, great food and warm hospitality that comes with the picturesque Sneezewoods venue. We look forward to coming back for our anniversaries! All our love and best wishes.
We all planned a wedding at Sneezewoods for our son Andrew, and his fiancee Melissa. The venue was booked for four days, occupying all 12 huts for the duration. Weddings are exciting, special and always cause a few nerves!
However we had no need to worry, as the venue was splendid and words cannot describe the efficiency, support and kindness from all the staff. The wedding was amazing set in the most beautiful surroundings, dinner was faultless, and enjoyed by everyone, many of us tasting South African cuisine for the first time, excellent!. As the evening progressed the wedding party danced the night away, then sat by the pool, not wanting the day to end, as it had been so special. Every detail was covered, even to the arrangement of people to wash and valet the bridal cars.
Sneezewoods arranged a canoe trip for the day before the wedding and an amazing safari for all of us, the day after. The safari surpassed any we had previously been on ( Scott at Schotia safaris, highly recommended).
I cannot recommend Sneezewoods enough to everyone, and cannot thank the staff sufficiently for our truly amazing time there. Lets hope we can return in the not too distant future.
A very nice family-run place. The grounds are so pretty, and our hut was very roomy and nicely decorated. They offer dinner, and I suggest you go! It was not expensive, and
it was great. We had a lovely stew and wine, and got to chat with other travelers. The dining area itself was so pretty, with an open front looking out over the grass.
